Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of this rare platinum bearing species from the type locality in Canada!!! This specimen hosts a pair of brilliantly metallic crystals of sperrylite in matrix!!! The crystals are sharp and undamged!!! The crystals have sharp, brilliantly metallic faces with some highly complex modifications!!! Usually the sperrylite crystals from this locality are submillimeter in size, however these crystals measure up to over 2.5mm!!! Often these Vermillion Mine specimens' crystals are embedded in the matrix, however this specimen hosts crystals that are prominently perched on the matrix!!! Simply a fantastic type-locality example of this rare platinum-bearing species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!

白金對於國家的經濟與戰略整體地位，要超過黃金，原因是黃金不多了不起是讓人感覺窮一點，但白金不夠整個工業會立即停擺。〈雖然 IC 等電子工業也用黃金，但白金使用更為全面。〉
原為最大的黃金生產國南非，這幾年黃金產值下降，而白金生產仍屹立不搖；但在礦物市場不見南非的白金礦標本，如果等級好標本漂亮，各礦物公司老板應該會找到並拿出來賣才是，或者與黃金相似，南非的白金蘊藏雖豐，但多為等級不高者。
俄國的標本也已經少了，近兩年我們博物館買到能看的標本都是幾十年前挖的。值得注意加拿大好的標本一向很少，但是還有新的出現，讓大家猜測是不是有好康不向世人透露。標本的佳品去年出現一次沒標到，這次終於買到了。
